Residential Property Paralegal
Our client a leading law firm based in Colchester are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Residential Property Paralegal to join their expanding property team based in Colchester.

The Role:
• You will be working closely under the direction and supervision of the solicitors
• Take instructions or messages from clients and pass on to fee earner
• To maintain an efficient diary system highlighting milestone dates on each matter and use bring forward system
• Attend clients both in the office, at care homes and in their homes as and when necessary
• To maintain filing system in an orderly manner to ensure correct conduct for client files, ensuring all files are opened and closed correctly
• To assist in the provision of administration and legal services for clients, including sales, purchases, lease extensions, re- mortgages and transfer of equity
• Draft letters, statutory declarations, statements of truth, sale contracts, land registry applications
• Legal research into to topical issues
• Assisting with the sourcing and maintaining of insurance policies
• You will be actively encouraged to participate in innovative marketing and business development activities , developing and maintaining networks for securing new clients for yourself and the team
The Candidate
• 2 years’ experience within Residential Property , Paralegals and Legal Assistants will be considered for this position
• Paralegal qualifications/experience preferred
• Promote the department and the firm through networking and business development activities
• Computer literate, Sound working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible approach to work
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• The ability to work as part of a team and deliver excellent client care
• Effectively prioritise and have excellent organisation skills for a fast paced workload with tight deadlines
• Ability to work with figures
