Employment Legal Secretary
Our client a family run modern Law Firm based in the heart of Chelmsford with easy train links. Have an exciting new opportunity for a conscientious, enthusiastic and experienced Legal Secretary to join their Employment Law team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, proactive, and detail – oriented individual who thrives in a fast- paced legal environment . Working within the Employment Law department, you will be required to deliver strong secretarial and administrative support, together with a flexible and positive approach to working in a busy and growing firm.
Day to day responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners within the Employment team
• Prepare, format , and proofread correspondence and legal documentation (Including contracts, tribunal bundles, and witness statements )
• Manage diaries, arrange meetings, and coordinate client appointments
• Dealing with initial enquiries
• File opening and closing on Osprey case management system
• Processing new client enquiries and booking appointments
• Assisting in a full range of Employment matters
• Liaise with clients, counsel, and external parties where required
• Assisting with billing, time recording, and document management systems
• Working alongside the team to achieve monthly targets and KPIs
About You
• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary , ideally withing an Employment Law or Litigation department desirable
• Excellent communication skills – confident, clear and articulate
• Excellent typing, IT , and document management skills (Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems essential )
• A team player with a proactive approach and commitment to providing exceptional client service
