Dispute Resolution Legal Assistant

My client is looking for an additional professional, organised, and enthusiastic client -focused Legal Assistant to join their busy Dispute Resolution Team. You will play a key role in supporting solicitors with both secretarial and administrative tasks across a range of Litigation matters.

The Role
• Support the day-to-day management and progression of Dispute Resolution matters
• Provide support to the fee earner and wider Dispute Resolution teams
• Opening new client files, conducting AML checks, preparing initial documentation, and closing files
• Using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence related to Dispute Resolution / Litigation matters
• Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
• Assist with a range of contentious matters (e.g. Civil Disputes, Property Litigation, Contractual disputes, and other Litigation matters )
• Support drafting of correspondence, witness statements, and court documents , prepare trail bundles, and assist with court and hearing preparation
• Liaising with clients, counsel, and courts, barristers , experts, and third parties to progress matters
• Assist with billing processes, process payments, and disbursements
The Candidate
• Experience in a legal support role, ideally within Dispute Resolution or Litigation
• Accurate typing skills, including digital audio systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a willingness to learn legal software and case management systems
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and courteous manner
