Conveyancing Team Assistant

JS Legal Recruitment are excited to be working with a leading Regional Legal 500 law firm with multiple offices across Essex. Due to expansion our client has an opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Team Assistant to join their office in Brentwood and Hornchurch.
Our client is looking for someone confidant in managing busy diaries, previous experience in Residential Property / Conveyancing work is essential.

As a Conveyancing Team Assistant you will provide support to the conveyancing department. Which deals with all aspects of, residential conveyancing including sales and purchase transactions, remortgage, equity transfer and large volumes of freehold and leasehold property work across East Anglia and London.

The Role

• As a Conveyancing Team Assistant you will provide support to the Property Fee Earner
• Carry out all necessary conflict, money laundering and ID Checks
• Undertake a range of administration duties including data entry, completion of forms, managing diaries and travel, expenses, booking of events
• Provide audio typing using BigHand
• Using case management system
• Liaise with clients, solicitors, Estate agents and mortgage lenders
• Providing quotations , sending out client care letters
• Deal with client queries, and take instruction from clients
• Amend and reformat documents
• Apply for searches using on line services including land registry
• Using HRMC website to complete stamp duty land tax forms
• Deal with post completion matters
• Maintain client files, opening and closing of files
• Maintain the filing system
• Provide reception cover when required

Experience required:
• Recent Residential or Commercial Property legal experience essential
• Knowledge of P4W desirable , Audio typing , Oyez etc.
• Experience with Microsoft office , word, outlook, Excel
• Able to work under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
• Friendly working environment
